There has been an excellent response to the call for applications for next year’s Queen’s Young Leaders. ‘The Search Is On’ was launched from The Shard in London back in June and over the past few months, thousands of applications have come flooding in from all corners of the Commonwealth.

The Queen’s Young Leaders team now has the difficult task of choosing the next 60 winners. All applications will be considered based on the young person’s achievements to date as well as their potential and their future ambition.

Award winners will be shortlisted by a panel made up of young people from across the Commonwealth. The shortlist will then be presented to The Queen’s Young Leaders Programme Board, which contains members from The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust, Comic Relief and The Royal Commonwealth Society, for final selection and decision.

A huge thank you to everyone who applied to be a 2017 Queen’s Young Leader.
